30 Day Shred Day One

Measurements:

Body Type: Hour Glass
Left Arm: 10.5” Right Arm: 10.5”
Thighs: 24.5”
Waste: 31”
Hips: 37”

My first work out:

Let’s just say Jillian Michaels kicked my ass. I was excited when she said it was time for cool down. It was 25 minutes of exercises and no breaks were allowed…  I had to take a couple five second breaks to catch my breath. Over all I feel I have worked out my entire body and I am excited to see how the rest goes. Side note: I don’t have any weights so I didn’t use any this time. I did the moves just without the dumbbells. Time for a shower!!!

Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred

Background: As you may or may not know, Jillian Michaels is the trainer on the T.V. show The Biggest Loser. She has constructed work outs that combined cardio and strength in one workout. This makes it so the workouts can be shorter but just as effective as a longer one that separates their cardio and strength. Her moves also target problem areas such as; stomach, thighs and arms.

How it works: It's actually pretty simple. There is one DVD composed of three different levels, one level for every ten days at 30 minutes a workout. However I have learned that you can stay on level one until you are ready to progress to level two. This work out can take longer than 30 days if you want it to. Also, if you consider yourself to be a beginner in working out, Jillian has two other women in her videos, one does the more advanced move and the other a modified move. This gives you the chance to work out at your level with the goal being to work up to the more advanced move.

Prices: The DVD runs between $6 and $14 and is available at locations such as Walmart, Target and Amazon. You can also purchase the download on your computer for $16.
Diet: To help your work out come along most effective and trim down tummy fat, you may decide to diet. There is no set food plan for this Shred so feel free to implement your own diet. If you are not going to be on a food plan try avoiding certain foods that you can find in my post about dieting

Step One: After obtaining your copy of the DVD it’s time to measure!!! I learned a long time ago that it is better to measure than to document your weight. Weight is flexible depending on the time of day and what you’re wearing. Also, because this video is based on building muscle, it is reshaping your body. Muscle does weigh more than fat. I found it’s easier to measure your key problem areas because that is the best way to see your results!!!

Okay here is where you will need to measure:
1.     Arms:  The thickest part of each arm.
2.     Thighs: The thickest part of each thigh.
3.     Lower Waist: All the way around your waist at your belly button.
4.    Hips: Biggest part of your hips.

Step Two: Everyday do your work out! In the video the girls use 5lb dumbbells. You can start with 3lb’s and work up to 5lbs if you need to. Also, it is important you do it every day for 30 minutes even if you are sore. It is important to keep consistent.

Step Three: At the end of your 30 Day Shred re-measure yourself. In my research I have found most people lose about 1-2 inches inches in each part of the body. You will look more toned and go down at least a dress size. After the 30 days you can do other simple work outs to keep your body toned and continue to lose inches.

Dieting Research

You may have read on my post about the 30 Day Shred about foods to avoid. Here is what I have learned by watching a video on The Trim Down Clubs website. Here is what to avoid:

  •  Concentrated Orange Juice: Most concentrated fruit juices (like Cranberry and Apple) add to your waistline. When companies concentrate their juice they take out the fiber and nutritious elements. Talk about concentrating the wrong ingredients! Without the fiber you’re pretty much drinking sugar water spiking your blood sugar, making you tired and making your body store everything as fat!
  • Excess Sugar: Sugar is actually found in a ton of food that is processed! But how do you know when reading the nutrition facts if the product contains a lot of sugar? Manufacturers use fancy words disguised as sugar. Avoid anything that says: high fructose corn syrup, dextran and dextrose. These kinds of sugars are found in concentrated fruit juice as well and are directly the cause of weight gain and even worse type 2 diabetes. Keep your blood sugar level balanced. When your blood sugar level gets too low, your body thinks its starving making it react in a way that causes your body to store everything you eat as fat rather than fuel to burn off.
  • Margarine: a high fat storing food containing Trans Fat. Trans Fat is made when hydrogen’s are made into a solid this makes the food less likely to spoil. They, increase your LDL levels causing bad cholesterol because it lines your arteries with plaque. And then it reduces your good cholesterols. Trans Fats cause not only weight gain, but cardiovascular disease.  A better alternative is butter. While butter also has fat it has a different kind of fat called saturated fat. Your body uses this kind of fat as fuel and it doesn’t put any plaque in your arteries.
  • Whole Wheat Bread and Pastas: Surprisingly enough whole wheat breads along with pastas make it nearly impossible to lose weight and stay healthy. Another word for these kinds of foods are “comfort foods” composed of high carbs such as apple pie, cake, muffins, beer, wine and pizza. Why do we crave these foods? Well, these foods also contain cortisol this is a hormone produced by adrenal glands giving you an adrenaline rush to cope with stressful situations both physically and mentally that sparks that sweet tooth for these comfort foods. This directly goes to the waist line. This doesn’t mean you have to remove these foods completely out of your diet. You just need to get the right ratio of carbs to proteins. Carbs aren’t totally bad for you, when combined with proteins it won’t sky rocket your blood sugar levels or cause your body to store it as fat. Low Carb foods would be vegetables and some fruits. High Carbs balanced with low carbs and proteins are better for you and your blood sugar level. Making simple changes like whole grain bread instead of wheat can put you in the right direction.
  • Processed Soy: Soymilk, tofu and other soy proteins are not only foods that mean infertility but it can also increase allergies! Other problems caused by soy are breast cancer, thyroid disorders, kidney stones, immune system impairments and even fatal food allergies. Why does this happen? Well, it’s because of how soy beans are processed. Manufacturers take out the good nutrients and minerals and 90% of phytonutrient content. Phytonutrients are a medicine found in foods that are disease-fighting. These foods cause weight gain and health problems because it throws your hormone balance completely off track. They even have more grehlin, the more your body produces the hungrier you feel, increasing cravings. Eating things like snap peas, green beans and other legumes decrease the amount of grehlin your body takes in. This will balance out your metabolism. Proper metabolism is so important for your kidney, brain, heart and liver to function the way it’s meant to.
  • Processed Corn: Genetically modified corn and other products that are genetically modified contributes to obesity and problems with your organs. Not just corn on the cob we’re talking about all genetically modified food such as gluten free corn cereal, corn puffs, flakes and honey coated oats. Those are just cereal’s, there are tons of other genetically modified food that are bad for you.
  • Energy Bars: Some have as much sugar and saturated fat as a candy bar.
  • Soda/ Soft Drinks: Not just because of the sugar content, but because of artificial sweeteners like aspritain. These sweeteners stimulate appetite, trigger weight gain through fat storage and increase your carb cravings. Even diet sodas are on the list. Each 20oz soda has 227 calories which is 1/10 of the amount women need to maintain to keep their healthy weight. Women who drink just two soft drinks or 500 calories of added sugars increase your LDL levels. Not to mention the caffeine is not good for you either.
  • Canned Soup: Not only does it contain high sodium but it also contains MSG. This causes you to gain weight faster than eating a double fudge sundae.
  • Microwave Popcorn: Containing very high amounts of trans fat and gives you “popcorn lung” This is a disease causing severe respiratory problems.
  • Anything Labeled “Fat Free”: Most times the fat taken out by manufacturers is replaced by sugars and not to mention they take out the kind of fat that is good for you.

Week #75 100 Word Challenge

Week #75
Premise: Grand Canyon
Word Count: 131 (a little much but couldn't bring myself to part with any of it)

http://i667.photobucket.com/albums/vv33/baglet/100WCGU7.jpg

I approached the large crevice in the Earth with caution. Staring down into its pits I could feel myself beginning to loosen up. The vast land looked beautiful, each crack lined with a beautiful shade of blue or red. The past few days had been extremely stressful for no particular reason other than I was making a huge deal of nothing. I sat down allowing my feet to dangle over the edge, flirting with danger was not something I would normally do. I took a deep breath and focused on a bird across the void. It soared freely in the wind not afraid of the dangers waiting below should its wings give out. I considered the irony because for the first time in several months I felt free, like the bird.

Video Games with David

My best friend in the whole wide world!!! His name is David and he isn’t boring; he is interested in a bunch of things. Lately it has been video games. The best part is that I literally hate video games because I suck at them. My best friend has opened my eyes to games that I am actually good at. Some are more interactive than others, some aren’t so complex. I suck at Modern Warfare, but because of his patience he has taught me how to use both joy sticks (I think that’s what they’re called) simultaneously. He encourages me when I am not doing so well and he cheers me on when I am doing awesome. I know that this is just video games, but it tells me a few things about him and our relationship.

Video games are meant to be hard and challenging, that’s what makes them so fun. Being supported by David while playing video games shows me that he can embrace challenges and work through them. Even if these challenges are virtual, it’s just practice for real life. He is always good at any video game he comes across. It usually takes him about five minutes to figure out the best strategy but after that, he is going for the high scores. He tries out different things until he finds the best one. He isn’t a greedy player either. He always tries to help me out and he shows me the best way to beat a level.

He plays fair too. I never have to beg him to let me try, most times he is trying to get me to try the game out. He knows when I am getting frustrated and tells me to sit down and take a time out. This also will help out in real life situations. He can see that I am getting upset about something and along with the other strategizing skills he has learned, it is easier for him to cope and help me out with a problem.

Probably the best part about playing video games with my best friend is that we learn new things and always have fun. We play all kinds of games. Lately it’s been games like Scene It or the sports game that came with our Move. We always have fun as we are learning how to do new things. For instance, recently I have been playing the archery game on our Move. He showed me where to aim according to how far away the target is, not to mention I am getting a work out too. It’s kind of cool. I don’t know what the comparison between the game and real archery, but I feel like I might be able to do it in real life. I have to say that my favorite is when we play the games together. We trade off most of the time.

I guess that by playing video games David has picked up a few different skills and so have I. Plus he looks cute when he plays games. He has the most ridiculous serious face. It’s also super cute when he gets all angry at the game. It’s definitely a fact that without David I probably still never play video games and still suck. Not to mention the bonding time I would miss out on. I’m so glad I have my best friend in the whole entire universe.

Week #74 100 word challenge

My mother recommended that I try this out so, here it goes...

Week #74 100 Word Challenge
Prompt: "... the extreme weather meant..."
Word count: 114

100WCGU (7)

As I set my school bag on the kitchen table my father was telling me about the upcoming blizzard. I of course was not all too upset given that the extreme weather meant I would not have school. The blizzard would be heading our way tomorrow. I was told to pack up a few things and put them in the small apartment in the basement. This would be the first time we would have to use the panic room. I packed up a few books and a week’s worth of clothes. As I was packing I realized I was going to have to spend the entire storm with my father, I was dreading it.

Why crucify why can't God just forgive?

I just watched the movie Stigmata today and it really got me thinking. For those who do not know stigmata is when “Jesus like” afflictions or wounds present themselves on the body without a logical explanation.  These wounds would be the thorn like cuts around the head, holes through the wrists and feet, whip marks on the back and finally the spear through the side. I also learned that during Jesus’ time they crucified people by nailing them through their wrists, not their hands. So, most pictures of crucified Jesus are wrong. Famous Holy men reported to have such markings are St. Francis of Assisi year 1214 and Pio of Pietrelcina in the early 1900’s. These markings are said to remind people of why Jesus died.

I did a little research on it and discovered why the Virgin Mary crying blood is significant to stigmata. This is said to be directly related to the stigmata because she gave up her son for our sins. Sometimes we forget that and lose sight of God and Jesus Christ. Jesus died for our sins so we are forgiven. So, we should use that as our one “get out of jail free card” and be good for ever and ever, amen.

I find this rather interesting. For two reasons, one being that the word for given back in the time of Jesus didn’t mean I forgive mistake. For example, if you say something hurtful and mean to your mother and afterwards you realized you were being cruel you would say, “I’m sorry”. She in turn would respond with, “It’s okay I forgive you”. This is how we use the word today. In fact during Biblical times it was used rather as another form of the word “write-off”. For example, when you go to the emergency room and you get a bill and it’s thousands of dollars. Say you pass away before being able to finish paying it off. That would be considered forgiven debt. It was in fact that way that God means “forgiven”.

What I don’t understand is that if Jesus was God’s only son, then why would he sacrifice him for us? Why not just forgive us and allow Jesus to continue with his teachings? Probably because the reason Jesus was crucified to begin with was because of the law back then. But still why not save his son who apparently did nothing wrong and just forgive us? Was it to teach us a lesson? Because the only lesson I can try and fathom is that even if you follow the word of God and do everything exactly how God would won’t it, you’re screwed anyways. Another lesson I can understand from the crucifixion is that don’t worry about what you do because it doesn’t matter how many times you sin. God forgives because Jesus has already paid for your debt.

Personally I don’t believe in this religious stuff, but I have a feeling that if I had, I wouldn’t really understand any of this crap. I think that maybe next time the lessons and teachings we’re supposed to take away from these stories should be a little clearer. Thanks!

Being Gay

01/19/2013

Today I want to talk about being GAY!!!! That’s right I said it GAY! Does that offend you? Well it shouldn’t and here is why:

Is being gay contagious: nope.

Could you die from gay people in the world getting married: nope

Do gay people have magical powers that will make the world self-destruct? Nope

Okay, then what the hell is the big deal? Let’s start off by addressing straight people.  If you follow the rules and don’t harm anyone else either directly or indirectly then you’re pretty much allowed to do whatever you want within reason.  Okay, and the laws that were created when America was first established pertained to mankind as a whole right? Okay just checking.  So both women and men have equal rights. So why are we able to deny a man or a woman the right to get married?  Whether it be another man or woman?

Let’s talk about religion. In the past twenty years of my life there have been several different kinds of missionaries that have approached me on the streets, at the mall, at the store and even at my home. They want to share their ways of life and tell you how implementing these simple rules in your life every day is better than what you are doing now.  Why? Because that’s what they believe! One particular religion even sets rules that tell you what you’re supposed to wear, what you can and cannot drink and in some cases eat. How to spend your Sunday and how many kids you should have.  That’s funny because I have heard the same speech time and time again come out of missionaries mouths, yet not once has a gay person approached me and told me that I should be gay and then proceed to give me a list of reasons why. In fact some gay people are even religious! That’s right they believe in the same God that you do. They follow the same rules they have the same belief system, except for one thing; they’re gay. Does that change the kind of person they are? No.

Being in America we get certain rights. America was made so no one would feel oppressed and controlled. Freedom to be whoever you want and do whatever you want, as long as you uphold the laws and regulations. Which by the way, were based off the Ten Commandments.  And while we’re talking about it I would like to point out that nowhere in the Ten Commandments does it say “Though shalt not be gay”.  So what’s the big deal? Just because you are so sprung off being straight does that mean that’s the right path for everyone? NOPE!

Being in America we have the opportunity and privilege to do and experience so many things because it’s a free country.  There are so many different cultures and religions and ways of life. So, I happen to be agnostic. I don’t have a “God” that I pray to or worship. But, do I still follow the same rules and laws everyone else does? Yes. Does it make me a bad person? No. Being agnostic means I believe in a higher power. Actually I believe in the Universe. The universe gives you what you need as long as you give back to it. Kind of cool isn't it? It’s just like karma.  So, I don’t believe in God. So do I knock on church door and tell them that they are wrong? No. And why is that again? Oh right… IT’S A FREE COUNTRY!!! So why is it that a gay person can’t get married and be gay? The answer to that is simple. You can be gay, but under straight people terms.

Let’s face it straight men love a good lesbian sex scene. Good old porn coming to the rescue again. The women in those videos, you know the hot lesbians? Those are actresses. Actually it’s a fact that lesbians come in many different shapes and sizes. Some can even be old enough to be your grandma. So women can be lesbians to please straight men, but they can’t be lesbians to please themselves? This is a little backwards here.  Time to rethink logic, but while you do that I am going to move on.

Recently several Americans mostly republicans are upset at the government. Why? Oh because Obama is thinking of putting a ban on guns. Which is upsetting right? Because isn't that the fourth amendment? Darn that’s a bummer. You don’t get to go hunting and live life how you want to. Well how do you think gay people feel? Probably a lot how you’re feeling right now, but you don’t care. You think gay people ill-moral-ed. Odd, I thought we covered how some of them have the exact same morals you do. And if you’re so upset about morals why aren't you restricting everybody else who has different lifestyles so they can’t do what they want to do? For some reason society just can’t take it. The idea of a man marrying a man, a woman marrying a woman, who cares? A Christian can marry a Muslim can’t they? So what’s the difference?

I myself, I am straight. I don’t feel threatened by gay people at all. But what I do feel is offended. How can society be so prejudice towards someone just for their sexual orientation? No wonder nothing ever gets done in this country, we’re too hung up over other people and what they’re doing.
One of my favorite arguments is, “I don’t want to see them being gay in public”. So not being married is going to stop a man from holding another man’s hand in public? Maybe they don’t like watching straight people hold hands. Or maybe they don’t even care. Like the rest of us shouldn't  It’s stupid focus on you and only you. Stop micromanaging gay people’s lives and let them get married already. It literally doesn't affect you at all.

Penis Stigma

01/18/2013

So, today I wanted to share my thoughts on penis size. We all know that penis' come in several different shapes, sizes and even colors. But, what most people don't know is what women actually think about different penis'. Penis size is extremely important to men because for them it's directly associated with manhood. There are several different aspects and ideas surrounding a penis. However, men tend to forget what their penis is for. So, let's get started.

Let's start with the significance of the shaft to men. Everyone has probably felt the uncomfortable stairs in the gym locker room. Whether you're a man or a women. Everyone is uncomfortable with their size. For women it could be weight, height, and of course breast size. For men, it is definitely their penis. While being heavier in the boys locker room could also make you feel more uncomfortable I have a bit of good news for you. Even skinny men dread taking a shower in front of other men.  The issue is that men can be as critical and nasty toward other men regarding their manly-hood. Most men would say that they would rather have a larger penis over a smaller one. Reason being; for some reason men are genetically wired to think that the size of their penis makes them a bigger man. I think that men are forgetting one thing, the women. I can only speak for myself and other conversations I have over heard. But, most women prefer a smaller to an average sized shaft. Let's face it. The vagina as an extremely sensitive area. In my experience smaller is better!

Sex is an intimate time for couples to share their love for one another. It's the act of love making that produces offspring. So, why are men scared to uncover themselves in a lighted room? My opinion is, if you have a huge penis I feel sorry for you. There are not a ton of women who can handle it. Making the intimate time less intimate and less fun. Wouldn't you rather be able to make love to the women you're willing the share the rest of your life with over what  other boys say about your penis? I think it's important for you to feel confident in your body. Because the sooner you get over your penis size, the sooner you regain your confidence. Women want nothing more than a man who has confidence and isn't afraid to share intimacies with her. So guys, stop pretending that your penis size is really that important. Isn't part of being a man after all being able to satisfy your lady? Yeah, good luck doing that with your over sized ego and ten foot member.

A real man to me is someone who can equal show masculinity and femininity, even if it's just between me and you. Men should be able to take care of their family and of course stand up for what they believe in. Notice how penis size wasn't anywhere in my description? Probably because I don't care.

We can mostly blame this stigma on pornography. Okay, let's be real. What man doesn't watch porn? If they say "no" they are LYING! Even if they don't currently see the need in indulging in video's full of fake orgasms  right now, they have in the past. In porn the men have these ridiculously sized "things". Yes I said things. And heads up, those moans and screams are fake!!! No woman can work with such a ridiculous size. But what do mean think when they see it? I HAVE TO BE JUST LIKE THAT OR NO WOMAN WILL WANT ME. Thus carrying on the penis stigma. The truth is, if you go on the internet and look for interviews of ex-porn stars and models, you will find their true feelings on porn. Not only does porn promote the degradation of women, but it also tells men that their penis has to be over a certain bracket to even qualify for sex. If you need the proof I am posting a link to one of my favorite motivational speeches I have come across at the bottom of the page. So, be yourself because all women want are things so unrelated to your penis size.

"I'm going to harm myself until Justin Bieber stops smoking weed"... no wonder why he smokes pot... these are the kinds of fans he gets and has to deal with... you are psycho.

Polygamy

01/09/2013

Polygamy

I have Netflix, and one of the upsides to having Netflix is that you get to watch T.V. shows when ever you want to watch them. Recently I was watching a show called Sister Wives. Sister Wives as you may know are two or more women who are married to the same man. While Polygamy is of course illegal because it is unlawful to have more than one wife; I find that kind of funny. The United States of America was formed on what some would call older religion. Particularly in the Mormon religion dating back to the 1830's. In fact Joseph Smith Jr. was a Polygamist. Polygamy isn't something new, it's actually a pretty old practice found through out several religions and cultures all over the world, even today.

Just recently with in August of 2006 Warren Jeffs was caught. He was married to 80 different women, most of whom were under the age of 18 and had 250 children. Jeffs' was part of a break away Mormon religion, as most Mormon's you come across today would tell you that they do not believe in Polygamy. There are several different schools of thought when it comes to Warren Jeffs, but the most important thing to remember was that the children he had as "wives" didn't know of any other life style. They were told that if they were married to Warren and produced his children that they would be able to get into the highest level of heaven. It's still wrong to be married to a minor and to have sex with a minor. It's because of people like Jeffs' that other Polygamists can't live their lifestyle out in the open.

Before the show Sister Wives, I honestly thought that all Polygamists were 80 year old Mormon men who brain wash 13 year old girls into sleeping with them. Little did I know that most Polygamists aren't actually Mormon. They are part of a break away religion that broke away from the Mormon church. Most people today who are not part of the break away church would tell you that they don't agree with the idea of Polygamy. Another thing that I learned while watching the show is that all of the women were over the age of 18. In fact Kody was married to Meri legally way before the second wife was introduced to the family. Kody and Meri were married in 1990. It was Meri who suggested the idea of having another wife in the family. Kody then married Janelle three years after Meri. Next, was Christine who he married a year after Janelle. Now, keep in mind that the only person Kody is legally married to is Meri. He isn't actually married to any of the others. It wasn't until 16 years after Kody married Christine that he was married to Robyn. Combined to date they have 17 children.

The Brown family lived in Utah, and had to live a very low key life. Because Polygamy is illegal they lived in hiding for several years. The Brown's decided that they wanted to tell the world how they are living in the hopes that they could come out of hiding. Unfortunately it struck up an entire investigation mainly toward Kody Brown. In fear that he would be taken from the family and that the four wives would be split up, they moved.

I personally don't find anything wrong with their lifestyle. During the show I learned that just because the family may have more than one wife doesn't mean the wives are being coned or raped. They love having more than one wife in the family. On several occasions through out the show each wife voiced several times that they love their lifestyle and that all their lives they wanted a huge family. Not only are all of the wives over the age of 18 and perfectly capable of making their own decisions, but they also treat each other equally. Having a sister wife is like having a best friend who just happens to be married to your husband as well.

What most importantly hit home with me was that some of their older children expressed that they would not want to be in a Polygamist relationship. Kody and his wives not once told them that they were wrong for feeling that way. They simply teach their children that happiness is most important. If you would rather have a monogamous relationship there is nothing wrong with that. How is it that Polygamists can understand our lifestyle but we can't understand theirs? I think that as long as the wives are over 18 and willingly want to be in the relationship regardless of how many other wives there are, that they should be able to. That's how I feel about it and I think that just because I don't want to have a sister wife doesn't mean others don't want to. We shouldn't be so quick to scrutinize those who see things differently than we do.

Thoughts of 1/8/2013

January 8th, 2013

Why I Hate Women:

When I was younger I never really got along with girls. I just realized why not too long ago when I saw the movie Mean Girls. What this movie taught me is that most women are what I like to call stereotypical women which are bitches. They're rude, self-centered parasites. When you are at the mall and you see three women together having "girl time" one over weight  than they others, one less attractive than the others and one seemingly normal. It is true in ever single nature that all women want to think that they are more attractive than the one standing next to them. That being said; there is a reason these three people flock together.

Let's start with the one being a little heavier than the rest. Now everyone knows that every woman is self conscious about their weight. Even those that are skin and bones will say they are fat. For one of two reasons. One, they like hearing that they aren't fat so when they say "I feel so fat" others will say "Are you kidding me?!?! You're so skinny!" This comes off as a compliment one of the millions women require to hear daily to keep their self esteem at point. The second reason they would say they are fat would be because they actually think they are over weight. Which brings me back to my main point... Women who struggle with weight issues have lower self esteem, so often times such as in the "mean girl" ways, they will hang out with the more popular kids. Being accepted helps their self esteem which makes them of course feel better about themselves. They hang around women who struggle with other problems so that they can tell themselves literally "I may be over weight but you're ugly and I can go on a diet." When I say ugly I mean ugly in two ways. One being literal and one referring to their personality. Now being the "heavier" friend does something for the other friends in their group.

The one that is less attractive meaning average in size with nothing else to offer the world as far as looks go is the middle person. She is kinda stuck in the I'm not over weight I'm normal looking and at least I am not over weight. This person is probably the smartest of the three.

Now, the third person is probably the leader of the group. This girl is drop dead gorgeous and probably has the most money. She of course gains the most out of the "friendship". She is the Hitler of cheerleaders. She doesn't actually care about anyone's feelings. She keeps the heavier girl around to remind her that she is attractive. She keeps the smarter girl around to use at her disposal so that she can be unstoppable.

That being said, I have to say that while I was in High School there wasn't anyone that was "the most popular girl". It's kind of ridiculous. Because reality T.V. today expresses the idea that you have to be hot and have money to get anywhere in life. Kids are watching these T.V. shows and movies and thinking that they have to starve themselves and wear revealing clothes to get what they want in life. If these fake life styles continue to air on television... one day this is going to actually be reality. Women already struggle with accepting and loving themselves. Why do we have to brain wash young girls into thinking that they are not good enough? Because of this teens get bullied and told because of their flaws. But who defines flaws? Who is the one to say that just because you aren't as pretty as the girl sitting next to you means that you have to settle? And who is the judge to say who is pretty and who isn't??? Some men would say what stereotypical women would say are the least attractive to be the most attractive.

What cracks me up the most is that in most movies such as Mean Girls the "mean girl" always goes down by the end of the film. So why is it that girls strive to be this fictional character? They put other girls down because they are insecure about themselves. Which makes me laugh because you may be the most beautiful person in the world, but if you have a disgusting attitude and personality then you are no longer beautiful at all.

I guess this all comes down to one thing and that is beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And I think that movie makers shouldn't capitalize on self esteem issues. Believe it or not but these ideas are making women even more corrupt. We are forced to uphold the idea that we are supposed to be the most attractive, we have to have a certain boob to ass ratio and if we don't then we will spend the rest of our lives alone forever. Which is BULL SHIT!!!! Be yourself because that's all you can be. Don't waste your life trying to uphold some fake standard. Because if you do then you really will end up alone because no one really tells the rest of the story about Barbie and Ken. Barbie ends up the lonely crazy cat women because she divorces Ken because he is a drunk and his glory days were only during high school football.

As incomplete and scatterbrained as my thoughts are this is what I came up with today.... Obviously not publishable anywhere else... but maybe one day someone will...

So, yesterday I was bored at home and I wanted to get in touch with my creative side. My favorite ever is animal print, mostly zebra and leopard (not cheetah). While I was browsing the internet I found this picture... I decided that I want to build that head board. I have no idea what it entails yet as I have only done a little research but, I do know one thing as soon as I do it I hope it will be awesome!
My name is Sara... I live in Arizona with my boyfriend and my two cats. I am 20 years old and have nothing else better to do with my life than blog about my own experiences. I have lived in Arizona most of my life.. but I did spent about a year and a half in Northern Virginia when I was a kid. I don't have very much experience doing anything but the way I see it... this is like a diary right? Only this one you share with those willing to read about it...
